Parliament appointed new deputy governor to National Bank of Moldova

Chisinau, 4 November /MOLDPRES/- Constantin Șchendra was appointed today as Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Moldova for a term of seven years. 53 MPs voted for his candidacy.

Șchendra has about 20 years of experience in banking, audit, accounting and consulting and will fill the vacant seat after Aureliu Cincilei's term has expired.

From 2018 until now, Constantin Șchendra has worked at the National Bank of Moldova, as director of the Banking Supervision Department.

According to the legislation, the vice-governors of the BNM are appointed by the Parliament, at the proposal of the governor of the National Bank.
