
Commission for Emergency Situations ordered allocation of financial means to localities affected by natural disasters
Chisinau, Nov. 23 /MOLDPRES/- Localities affected by natural disasters will get financial means from the state to liquidate consequences. A decision on the matter was approved at a meeting of the Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE), the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
Thus, about 7.8 million lei will be earmarked from the Government Intervention Fund, of which 4.2 million lei will be received by the town halls of the Edineț district, in order to liquidate the consequences of the torrential rains with hail and strong winds of 6 July. Another 96.3 thousand lei will be offered to the Soroca District Council, for the liquidation of the aftermath of the storm from April 1, 2022, and 238.7 thousand lei will be redirected to the Șoldănești city hall for the preparation of a geotechnical study to set the degree of real seismicity of the site of an unfinished residential block, which was damaged.
At the same time, about 3.2 million lei will be granted to the local Council of Bugeac village, Găgăuzia. The money will be used to pay the allowance for the purchase of a new home and to compensate the expenses following the loss of housing by the families in the damaged block, located on Pavlov Street, No6. The amounts will be offered by the Ministry of Finance, depending on the presentation of the necessary documents, to be completed by the public authorities.
According to the decision, the beneficiary local public authorities are obliged to use the financial means according to the destination by late 2022 budget year, and to submit reports on their execution to the Ministry of Finance. If the transferred amounts will be used contrary to their intended purpose, following the controls carried out by the competent bodies, the money will be returned to the state budget.
Another decision of the CSE refers to the registration by the Ministry of Finance of the public procurement contract on purchase of financial and legal audit services related to the debts of Moldovagaz company to Gazprom and Factoring Finance Ltd for gas delivered to consumers of the Republic of Moldova by on the right bank of the Dniester.
The CSE members also decided that during the state of emergency, when exporting corn, except for corn seeds for sowing, the exporting economic agent will no longer be obliged to present to the Customs Service a Declaration on his own responsibility certifying the producer of the corn exported.
