
Doina Nistor sworn in office of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization of Moldova
Minister-designate of Economic Development and Digitalization Doina Nistor was has been sworn in office, in the presence of President Maia Sandu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
Prime Minister Dorin Recean said that, with the approval of the Economic Growth Plan and unprecedented funding on behalf of the European Union, Moldova was entering a new phase of accelerated economic growth. "Our task is to transform economic growth into prosperity for everyone: well-paid jobs and incomes for entrepreneurs," the PM said.
Today, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister Doina Nistor was introduced to the staff of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization. Prime Minister Dorin Recean noted that the ministry’s team, under the leadership of former minister, Dumitru Alaiba, had prepared the necessary foundation, in order to make economic growth possible. For the upcoming period, it is essential to continue the debureaucratization, speed up the digitalization process and develop innovative solutions to enhance the competitiveness of local entrepreneurs.
Doina Nistor has over 20 years of experience in economic development and digital transformation in Moldova and has led major projects in key sectors, such as information and communication technologies, tourism, wine-making, light industry, engineering, cybersecurity and creative industries.
