Moldovan cabinet approves draft envisaging establishment of Cultural Voucher national programme
Chisinau, 9 November /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved a draft which sees the establishment of the Cultural Voucher national programme, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The initiative is dedicated to young people who turned 18 years and who will take possession of an annual voucher worth 1,000 lei, meant to facilitate the access to cultural products and services, such as theatre plays, concerts, cinematographic products, books’ procurements, etc. The draft’s goal is to encourage the consumption of culture among young people.
The mechanism of work of the Cultural Voucher national programme, worked out by the Culture Ministry, in cooperation with the Agency for Electronic Governance – in charge of the programme’s integration into MPay, will be launched and popularized as of 17 November, the International Students’ Day.
Through implementing this programme, Moldova aligns with the good practices recorded at the European level. Such countries as France, Italy, Germany or Slovakia promote similar initiatives, giving young people cultural vouchers, tickets or coupons.
