Moldovan PM attends concert on finishing of Winter Tale charity project
Chisinau, 14 January /MOLDPRES/ - The programme of artistic events organized by the government on the period of the winter holidays ended in Soroca today evening. Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita and Culture Minister Sergiu Prodan attended the last concert titled, The Winter Tale with Wolves of Calancea, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The PM thanked those who contributed to the carrying out of the charity concert and the artists who went to ten settlements of Moldova and made happy hundreds of people, among whom children and old persons from more placement centres. ‘’This was an original artistic act, an act of solidarity, unconditional empathy and kindness. This is an example worthy to be followed and I am very much glad that Moldova’s government was able to contribute to the organization of Hikings of the Wolves of Calancea,’’ Natalia Gavrilita said.
For his part, Sergiu Prodan highly appreciated the contribution of the culture people to the organization of a string of events during the winter holidays: ‘’The artists from settlements were able to come to Chisinau, to the Christmas Fair and show their talent to the capital’s residents, as well as to the tourists who visited the country on this period. Our songs and traditions return to their true origin. We will succeed together through culture.’’
This year, the charity programme, The Winter Tale, went to villages and cities and concerts and artistic events with the participation of tens of local folk collectives and artists from the capital were organized at the government’s initiative in more settlements of Moldova.
