
Moldovan president joins campaign, 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence
Chisinau, 25 November /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu joins the campaign, 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence, the presidential press service has reported.
In a message made public today, the head of state warns about the problem of the gender-based violence – a serious and still often faced problem in Moldova.
„All children deserve a childhood without cares. All women deserve to live in safety. The rights of all people must be observed,’’ President Maia Sandu said in her massage conveyed on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, marked today.
The international campaign, 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence, takes place annually on the period 25 November – 10 December, in order to raise the residents’ awareness about the violence against women.
