Moldovan president meets Swiss Cooperation Office head
Chisinau, 23 March /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu today held a meeting with director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Moldova Caroline Tissot. The issues focused on the current situation in our country in terms of politics, economics and health, the presidency efforts to ensure people with vaccines and bilateral cooperation, the presidential press service has reported.
Maia Sandu thanked Switzerland for the prompt support provided to the Republic of Moldova in combating the pandemic, by delivering medical, personal protective and laboratory equipment.
"Switzerland is one of our reliable partners, especially in carrying out social and local development projects. Thus, for many years, water supply and sanitation networks have been modernized in our villages, community services have been improved, and the diaspora is increasingly involved through indigenous associations. We also expressed our gratitude for the significant assistance offered in culture ", said Maia Sandu.
The head of state voiced confidence that the partnership between our countries will strengthen, Switzerland remains for us an example of social cohesion and development.
