Moldovan central electoral commission says 64 political parties can participate in presidential elections, referendum due on 20 October
Chisinau, 26 July /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 64 political parties have right to participate in the presidential elections and the republican constitutional referendum due on 20 October 2024. The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) published the list of these formations today.
According to CEC, the parties registered at the Public Services Agency have right to nominate candidates for elections and participants in the referendum, till the setting of the date of elections.
The elections for the office of Moldova’s president will be held on 20 October 2024. On the same day, the republican constitutional referendum will take place, during which the citizens will have to answer the question: ‘’Do you support the change of the Constitution for the Republic of Moldova’s accession to the European Union?’’
