Moldovan foreign affairs minister to pay working visits to Prague, London this week
Chisinau, 25 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan diplomacy head, Nicu Popescu, pays more working visits to Prague and London. During meetings on these visits, the minister will tackle the European agenda, the energy security and the assistance for Moldova’s development.
According to the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service, in Prague, Minister Nicu Popescu will meet his Czech counterpart Jan Lipavský, as well as Minister for European Affairs of the Czech Republic Mikuláš Bek, the deputy head of the Czech diplomacy, Jiří Kozák. The Moldovan foreign affairs minister will also participate, as special guest, in the international conference, Challenges for European Security, hosted by the Charles University from Prague and organized by the network of European universities Europaeum.
In the capital of the United Kingdom, Deputy PM Nicu Popescu will refer to the current challenges for Moldova’s energy security in a speech given at the European Climate and Security Summit, organized by the Conservative Environment Network of the UK.
The agenda also includes a meeting with President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Odile Renaud-Basso, as well as meetings for strengthening the Moldovan-British strategic partnership.
