
Moldovan president signed decree appointing new interim General Prosecutor
Chisinau, Oct. 12 /MOLDPRES/- President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu signed today a decree appointing Ion Munteanu, prosecutor of the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office to the position of acting General Prosecutor, the presidential press service has reported.
Ion Munteanu's candidacy was proposed by the Superior Council of Prosecutors, following the 11 October meeting.
The CSP decision comes as a result of the expiration of the interim position, exercised from 6 October 2021 by prosecutor Dumitru Robu.
