
As many as 554 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours
Chisinau, 21 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 8,564 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 554 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Five out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 372,983 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.
According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), three out of all infection cases are among medical employees (1physician, 1 medical assistant and 1 auxiliary staff employee).
As many as 1,027 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 166 are in extremely serious condition and 31 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.
In the context, 2,288 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 8,970 are under supervision at home.
Another 485 people have been treated. As many as 358,603 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.
At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 19 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 9,540 people have died of coronavirus in all.
