Bomb alerts registered at more state institutions in Moldova
Chisinau, 5 July /MOLDPRES/ - Bomb alerts were registered at more state institutions, commercial centres, hospitals and at the Chisinau International Airport today afternoon. The institutions’ employees and the people who were inside the institutions were evacuated and Bombteh specialists investigate the zone.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, it is about the parliament, government, judicial institutions, commercial centres, hospitals and the Chisinau International Airport. The announcement on the placement of explosive objects was made through electronic mail. Specialized services were sent on the spot to establish all circumstances.
In the case of the Chisinau International Airport, this is the third threat in less than 48 hours. The Airport’s press service informed that all staff, as well as the passengers had been urgently evacuated. In these circumstances, the procedure of passengers’ registration was temporarily ceased and more flights will be made with delay.
Under the legislation, for ‘’deliberate false communication about a presumed terrorist act,’’ the person making the information runs the risk of getting a fine from 27,500 lei (about 1,375 euros) up to 42,500 lei or up to two years of imprisonment.
