
Cathedral Square to be modernized with Romania's support
Chisinau, 19 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Cathedral Square in the center of the capital will be renovated and modernized with the support of Buzău County Council, Romania, which donated 400 thousand euros to Chisinau.
According to the municipal authorities, support was offered for carrying out two city modernization projects. Thus, 350 thousand euros will be earmarked for the financing of the investment project Development and modernization of the Cathedral Square, within which work will be carried out to rehabilitate the street lighting and install the irrigation system.
At the same time, another 50 thousand euros are provided for the co-financing of the investment project Major repair of the underground pedestrian passage in bd. Dacia, intersection with bd. Traian and bd. Decebal from Botanica sector.
The donation was offered as a result of the Cooperation Agreement between Buzau County in Romania and Chisinau Municipality, approved by the Municipal Council in July 2021.
