Children with ages up to two years to receive allowances of 1,000 lei from state in Moldova
Chisinau, 22 September /MOLDPRES/ - The children with ages up to two years as of 1 October will receive monthly allowances worth 1,000 lei, no matter whether the parents are insured or not in the state social insurances system. The parliament approved a draft on the amendment of the law on social benefits for children in the final reading today.
Under the law, as for the uninsured people who presently benefit from allowance to take care of the child till the age of two years, in a quantum of 740 lei monthly for each child, this allowance will increase by 260 lei. At the same time, the insured people who presently benefit from allowances in quantum of 30 per cent of the calculation basis established according to the law on allowances for temporary incapacity for work and other social insurances payments, will receive 1,000 lei per month additionally.
As much as 76, 321 thousand lei is envisaged for almost 63,000 beneficiaries for the period till the end of this year, through the amendments recently made to the law on state social insurances, to fulfill the measure suggested.
Also, starting from 1 October, the monthly support allowance for the bringing up of twin children or children born in a single pregnancy till the age of 3 years will grow up to 500 lei.
