
Moldovan government allocates money to descendants of medical staff dead because of COVID-19
Chisinau, 14 July /MOLDPRES/ - The acting cabinet, at a today’s meeting, approved the allocation of financial means for providing one-off allowance to the medical staff dead of COVID-19.
„As much as 2.3 million lei is earmarked from the government’s intervention fund to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS) for providing one-off allowance in the case of the medical employees who died while fighting against COVID-19 at public medical and sanitary institutions,’’ the government decision reads.
The draft was worked out, in order to back the families of the staff from the public medical and sanitary institutions of primary medical assistance, ambulatory specialized assistance, hospital medical assistance, pre-hospital emergency medical assistance, highly advanced medical services, who died in the fight against COVID-19.
The money will be directed for the payment of 23 one-off allowances, meant for the descendants of the employees who died while fighting COVID-19.
The control over the fulfillment of this decision is entrusted with MSMPS and the decision will enter into force on the date of its publication in Moldova’s Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).
