Moldovan National Army's peacekeepers leave for Lebanon
Chisinau, 16 February /MOLDPRES/ - Those 32 Moldovan peacekeepers have left on the peacekeeping mission of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). They took off at the Chisinau International Airport today.
At the event, the National Army’s commander, brigade general Eduard Ohladciuc wished the servicemen success in the new UN mission, which is the first of this kind for Moldova.
In Lebanon, the peacekeepers will fulfill missions of security and guard of military objects and of patrolling the area within their responsibility, acting within the Italian contingent.
