More than 2,000 drivers given fines in Moldova in last week
Chisinau, 11 October /MOLDPRES/ - Over 2,000 drivers were documented by employees of the National Public Security Inspectorate (INSP) for having committed infringements, of whom 914 drivers exceeded the speed limit.
According to INSP data, also on the same period, 40 drivers were detected driving drunk. Another 131 drivers violated the rules on stopping and giving priority to pedestrians and 98 pedestrians crossed the street in banned places.
INSP data also show that 1,027 traffic accidents were recorded in the first half of 2021, in the wake of which 93 people died and 1,171 were injured.
