NATO donated over six tons of medical equipment to Moldova
Chisinau, Nov. 15 /MOLDPRES/- The Republic of Moldova received from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) over six tons of personal protective equipment and three pulmonary ventilators.
According to the Ministry of Health, ventilators have already been distributed to the Mother and Child Institute, Balti Clinical Hospital and Gheorghe Paladi Municipal Clinical Hospital.
The donation arrived in Chisinau with the support of NATO's Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Center, the NATO Support and Procurement Agency, and Romania.
Other equipment, such as electrocardiographs and medical vacuum cleaners, will soon be received.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, NATO donated to our country 20 lung ventilators, 100 thousand protective masks, 25 thousand disposable coveralls and ten thousand rapid tests for the detection of the new coronavirus.
