Policeman caught red-handed by CNA officers with bribe

Chisinau, August 13 /MOLDPRES/- An officer of the Chisinau Police Directorate of IGP was detained by the CNA for passive corruption. He allegedly demanded 5,000 lei from a contractor.

According to CNA, he would have asked for the money in order not to bring to criminal liability a man who illegally carried out entrepreneurial activities. Following the procedural actions carried out, the policeman received the alleged financial means under the control of CNA officers, shortly after the call made to the National Anticorruption Line.

The policeman was detained for 72 hours.
