Two educational institutions to benefit from grants from Japan
Chisinau, 11 December /MOLDPRES/- Two educational institutions will benefit from grants from the Japanese government through the Kusanone Human Security Program. The grant will be given to secondary school in Pelinia village, Drochia district, and gymnasium in Domulgeni, Florești district.
According to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, the Pelinia gymnasium will get a grant worth 75,037 dollars. The second grant, amounting to 48,310 dollars will go to the Domulgeni gymnasium and will help renovate the canteen and the kitchen of the institution.
The Kusanone program was launched in Moldova in 2008. During 10 years of collaboration, the education system in our country received assistance from the Japanese government through the Kusanone program. So far, a number of projects amounting to 523,532 dollars had been implemented in several educational institutions.
The beneficiaries of the Kusanone projects were also the cultural institutions. Thus, through this program, in 2013 the National Library for Children Ion Creanga launched the first mobile library in Moldova, and in 2016 the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts got a grant for endowment with multimedia equipment.
