UPDATE Increased traffic at Leușeni and Sculeni border crossings eased
UPDATE // 10:30 a.m. Traffic has been eased and operations are taking place under normal conditions at Leușeni-Albița and Sculeni border crossing points.
An increased flow of travelers and vehicles was recorded on Friday morning at the Leușeni and Sculeni border crossing points, on the outbound direction from the Republic of Moldova, and the authorities recommend choosing alternative crossing points to avoid long waiting times.
To streamline traffic, additional lanes have been opened at the two crossing points and the REVERS procedure has been implemented, allowing the redirection of flows according to needs.
The authorities recommend that travelers, if their itinerary allows, opt to cross the border through the Costești, Leova, or Cahul crossing points.
Distributing the flow toward alternative crossing points helps balance traffic and reduce waiting times for people crossing the border.
The authorities urge travelers to take the border situation into account when planning their itinerary and to choose the crossing point according to the level of congestion.
