Chisinau, Dec 31 /MOLDPRES/- War veterans will receive from January 1, 2025 a monthly state allowance amounting to 10% of the average monthly salary in the economy. A draft law to this effect was published in the Official Journal today.

The document defines the status of war veterans, outlines their categories and, at the same time, stipulates the conditions for withdrawing the status of war veteran.

It also contains clear rules on the social protection, medical care and facilities that war veterans will receive. In gratitude for their sacrifice and devotion, war veterans will receive a monthly state allowance of 10% of the projected average monthly wage in the projected economy from January 1, 2025, and persons with disabilities will receive an allowance of 14% of the average monthly wage. War veterans who fall into two or more categories will receive an additional 4% higher allowance.

The draft also sees state allowances for special merits and stipulates their beneficiaries.

War veterans will be granted a death benefit amounting to 50% of the average wage in the economy forecast for the year of administration. War veterans will also receive medical care, compensated medicines and medical devices, and will be provided with orthopedic and dental prostheses, hearing aids and cardiac implants.
