 Honorary consulate of Montenegro inaugurated in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 04 April /MOLDPRES/ – Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Anatol Vangheli, and Foreign Minister of Montenegro, Srđan Darmanović, inaugurated today during a solemn ceremony, the first Honorary Consulate of Montenegro in Moldova, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.

Anatol Vangheli said that the opening of the Honorary Consulate would help to improve trade relations, stimulating investment and bilateral contacts between representatives of business communities of Moldova and Montenegro. "Honorary Consulate has an important role in promoting tourism. We hope in the near future to organize a national forum of companies providing services in this sector," said the Secretary General.

Minister Srđan Darmanović said that the possibilities for economic cooperation between Moldova and Montenegro would widen, expressed confidence that the new Honorary Consul would help improving the bilateral trade relations.

At his turn, Honorary Consul of Montenegro in the Republic of Moldova, Andrei Stratan, expressed appreciation for the confidence granted by authorities in both countries and stressed his commitment to boost bilateral relations between Moldova and Montenegro.

The event was attended by representatives of diplomatic corps accredited in Moldova and representatives of the business community.

The inauguration of the Honorary Consulate of Montenegro in Moldova joined the list of activities of marking 10 years of diplomatic relations between Moldova and Montenegro.
