Chisinau, 13 December /MOLDPRES/ – The Constitutional Court (CC) has validated today the mandate of MP Aliona Babiuc, alternate candidate on the list of the Party of Communists of Moldova.
A mandate of MP in the PCRM faction was declared vacant on 07 December 2017, after resignation of Oxana Domenti. The seat came up to Aliona Babiuc, who accepted mandate, despite being excluded from the party.
The CC’s judgment is final, can not be subject to any appeal and enters into force on the date of its adoption.
On 12 December 2017, the Central Committee (CC) of the Party of Communists issued a press release in which it opposed the inclusion of Aliona Babiuc in the composition of its faction in the Legislature. According to the PCRM’s leadership, Babiuc was excluded from the party for several irregularities.
Aliona Babiuc is 48 years old and is a teacher by profession.
