Moldovan, American officials broach cooperation

Chisinau, 3 February /MOLDPRES/- Foreign and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi met Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasisa Bridget Brink on 2 February, the MAEIE’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media relations service has reported.
The two officials discussed all bilateral relations between Moldova and the United States of America, and especially the new opportunities for developing the US-Moldova Strategic Dialogue, focusing on deepening the cooperation on security and defense, and the rule of law dimension.
Ulianovschi unveiled Moldova’s progress on reforms, pointing out the government’s commitment to deepening the cooperation with Western partners – the United States and European Union.
The sides also exchanged views on developments in the Transnistrian conflict settlement, including the prospects for this year in the Italian OSCE Chairmanship.
Ulianovschi highlighted the country’s commitment to a solid bilateral relation, as well as robust cooperation on priorities on the US-Moldova agenda.
The sides agreed to continue the high-level political dialogue in the near future to deepen and implement the main dimensions of the strategic dialogue.
