Decision on setting National Agency for Research, Development to be published in Official Journal of Moldova

Chisinau, 01 March /MOLDPRES/ – The decision of Executive on creation of the National Agency for Research and Development will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 02 March.

According to the document, agency will implement state policies into innovation and development.

Similarly, Authority will manage funds to carry out projects on this dimension, being responsible for evaluating project proposals submitted by researchers.

The entity will be established through merger of Public Institution: Agency for Research and Development, Agency for Innovation and Technology Transfer and International Projects Centre subordinated to Academy of Sciences of Moldova.

The new authority will be subordinated to Government and have 34 employees.

The head of the National Agency for Research and Development will be appointed through a public contest. The Prime Minister will designate a person to exercise his/her duties until appointment of institution’s leadership,.
