Anti-terrorist exercises carried out in Chisinau

Chisinau, 14 March /MOLDPRES/- Dozens of employees of the General Inspectorate of Police of the Interior Ministry in collaboration with policemen from Poland and France take part today in an anti-terrorist exercise. The event is funded by the EU and will last all day.

According to deputy head of IGP Gheorghe Cavcaliuc, the exercise takes place on the Zimbru stadium and on the road to the airport and provides for “simulating a terrorist attack during a football match”.

The exercise aims at training together subdivisions subordinated to the Interior Ministry to ensure a good application of the means of intervention and tactics of action.

The exercise is funded through the EU’s “Eastern Partnership Police Cooperation Program” project.

The law enforcers urge citizens near the exercise area not to panic, to comply with police recommendations.
