Moldovan cabinet approves new measures to promote labour force employment

Chisinau, 4 April /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet promotes new measures of improving the situation on Moldova’s labour market, in order to reduce joblessness, increase the employment rate and for the professional training of unemployed, in line with the labour market’s requirements, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.   

A draft to this end, approved by the cabinet today, clearly sets the powers of the National Labour Force Employment Agency, which will be in charge of monitoring the labour market, keeping record of persons looking for jobs, vacant jobs, of the labour market’s analysis and forecast, assessing the impact of the labour force employment measures. At the same time, the draft stipulates the  strengthening of the role of the local public authorities in the labour force employment sector and the powers of the competent private agents.   

To facilitate the integration in the labour market, a string of measures are envisaged, among which: career guidance, providing of pre-dismissal services, introducing training at the working place for unemployment persons without qualification, probations for unexperienced  people, especially for young persons.     

The draft also sees subsidization of jobs meant for persons running the risk of social exclusion – by 30 per cent monthly from the size of the average salary on the economy, for a six-month period, for each employed jobless person. Employers who create or adapt jobs meant for disabled people will benefit from support as well. The National Labour Force Employment Agency is to compensate 50 per cent of the expenses borne. The Agency will also provide consultancy to carry out local initiatives, as well as to unemployed people who start their own business.
