Nine local-status crossing points to be opened at Moldovan-Ukrainian border on Easter holidays period

Chisinau, 7 April /MOLDPRES/ - Nine local-status crossing points will be opened on the line of the Moldovan-Ukrainian border. The Border Police Department of the Interior Ministry made statements to this effect today.   

According to data by the Border Police, those nine posts were opened at a request by the local public administration and will work in cooperation with Ukrainian border guards.

Thus, next week, people willing to go to Ukraine will be able to cross the border through local posts: Valea Adanca – Zagnitkovo, Ploti - Krutie, Tibuleuca – Tsekhanovka, Vinogradnoe –Novie Butori, Caplani – Krutoyarovka, Iserlia – Petrovsk, Troitscoie – Visocianscoe, Volintiri – Faraonovka, Ukrainka – Elizavetovka.    

The Border Police also said that the crossing of the border through these posts would be made only during the day and crossing would authorized only for the citizens of Moldova and Ukraine with permanent residence in the settlements nearby the frontier. Crossing will be allowed based on internal passports (identity cards) or on the basis of foreign travel passports and also to transport means belonging to them, the loading capacity of which should not exceed 3.5 tons.
