Chisinau, 12 April /MOLDPRES/ – At the joint meeting of Joint Control Commission (CUC) that was held today in Bender and it was chaired by the Russian Federation delegation, at the proposal of the Russian component, there were dismissed military observer of the Russian Federation, Major Alexandr Kapashev, and Russian Federation delegation Piotr Urjumov, in connection with completion of period of business trip, the office for reintegration policy’s information and media communication service has reported.

At the same time, Commission confirmed Major Evgheny Trunov, Military Attaché of the Embassy of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Moldova as a member of the Russian delegation.

The Delegation of the Republic of Moldova to the JCC presented Gheorghe Balan, senior state counselor of the Prime Minister in the field of reintegration, recently appointed as a member of the delegation by Government decision.

The Joint Military Command presented weekly report on situation in the Security Zone (ZS).

Subsequently, at an extraordinary meeting, discussions continued on problems related to reopening of traffic on bridge over the Dniester river near villages Gura Bacului and Bacioc.

The Moldovan delegation reiterated proposal to ensure free and safe movement on that bridge only by militants of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces and forces of National Patrolled Inspectorate (INP) and so – called "militia".

During debates, repeated Transdniestrian exponents confirmed they had resorted to strengthening of infrastructure of post of its forces near village Baciuc, even on eve of the day when traffic on the bridge would be reopened. Thus, during preparations for the reopening of bridge, representatives of Tiraspol, without prior coordination with Joint Control Commission, increased number of "border guards", "customs officers" and "migration service". These unilateral actions contradict agreements previously agreed in JCC and represent a definite proof that the Transnistrian side refuses to respect regime of ZS and its commitments.

In the absence of consensus, meeting was transferred for next JCC meeting to be held on 19 April 2018.
