Moldovan firemen to train over 1,200 lyceum pupils in life security

Chisinau, 12 May /MOLDPRES/ – Over 1,200 juveniles from high schools in several educational institutions in Moldova participate at regional stage of Camp for children Scoala Securitatii (The life security school) on 12 – 13 May, entitled: Together we reduce the risks, where they will be trained by firemen in domain of life safety essentials.

The press officer of General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), Liliana Puscasu, said that children from districts: Hancesti, Causeni, Ungheni, Cahul, Gagauzia, Soroca, Edinet and Balti attended regional camp The life security school. The pupils are staying in camps and within more days they learn major rules of survival in exceptional situations. They participate to win in competition stages such as fitting out outfits, handling extinguisher, heading in the field, combining relay and saving flood victims.

According to cited source, goal of actions is to prepare them theoretically, practically and psychologically to resist a risk situation such as earthquakes, bonfires, floods or landslides etc. At official opening ceremonies, management of IGSU encourages young people to be the best in all districts where takes place The life security school.

The finals of regional stage will reach national stage, which will take place on 23 – 27 May 2018 in Straseni district. The life security school is a joint project of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) and Ministry of Culture, Education and Research (MCEC), supported by UNICEF in Moldova.
