Chisinau, 05 June /MOLDPRES/ – The second stage of project for construction of main water supply pipeline was completed for Bardar village, Ialoveni district. The works carried out on sector of 2.2 km were monitored on 04 June by a group of experts which did not object to their execution.
The Regional Project Agency "The Bardar water supply pipeline – access to healthy drinking water, improvement of public healthcare and sustainable management of water supply system" was implemented by Centre for Regional Development Agency (ADR Centru) with support of Slovak Government Programme, SlovacAid. The part of water supply system was inspected by Slovakian specialists and ADR Centru, which stated that "the works carried out comply with norms set out within project".
The Bardar project aims at diminishing territorial discrepancy by ensuring balanced socio – economic development of Ialoveni district. "The modernisation of water supply and sewerage infrastructure, development of capacities of regional service providers, will contribute to raising living standards of population", stated sources from ADR Centru.
Interviewed by agency, mayor of Rusestii Noi village, Pavel Codreanu, said that villagers have been waiting for long that aqueduct. "Another three years ago it was a study in village set by Public Healthcare Centre, which showed that none of few dozens of wells in commune did not meet sanitary-hygienic standards required. And people are worried about it, and with construction of this aqueduct we will have access to quality water with a suitable chemical composition. We rejoice in any project that takes place in village, we hope if the living conditions improve and people left in world will want to come home. Unfortunately, recent surveys indicated that almost 40 per cent of inhabitants of Rusestii Noi are abroad," said Pavel Codreanu.
Following implementation of nominated project, it will be built 14.8 km of water supply pipeline, and final beneficiaries will be about 25 thousand inhabitants, 29 public institutions, 342 economic agents and three municipal enterprises providing communal services. The project is part of a large-scale district programme comprising 14 localities with a total length of about 45 kilometers of newly constructed water pipeline.
The construction of the Bardar water supply pipeline is estimated at about one hundred thousand euros, allotted from National Regional Development Fund within the Regional Projects Contest for 2017 – 2020. The project co-financing, worth over €120,000, was made by SlovakAid Programme (Slovak Government Development Assistance), including €20,000 from the Slovak Regional Development Agency Senec-Pezinok.
