Reconciliation of parties to collective labor conflict to be achieved within 10 working days

Chisinau, 7 June /MOLDPRES/- The government notice on the draft law amending and supplementing the Labor Code of Moldova No154-XV of 28 March 2003 will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 8 June.
Under the draft, the reconciliation of the parties to the collective labor dispute will be carried out within 10 working days, with the possibility to extend the term by up to 5 working days.
According to the document, the Conciliation Commission will reconcile the parties to the collective labor dispute within 10 working days of its establishment, and this period can be extended once only, by written agreement of the commission members.
If the committee members reached an agreement on claims, the commission will take a binding decision for the parties to the conflict, which will give to them within 24 hours of the adoption.
In the current variant, the Labor Code does not set a deadline for the examination of the collective labor dispute within the conciliation commission.
The conciliation procedure takes place between the parties to the conflict in a conciliation commission, and if the committee members reached an agreement on the claims made by the employees' representatives, the committee shall, within 5 working days, adopt a binding decision for the parties to the conflict, which will be given to them within 24 hours of the adoption.
