Personal Representative of OSCE Chairman-in-Office on Combating Anti-Semitism on visit to Moldova

Chisinau, 8 June /MOLDPRES/- Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office on Combating Anti-Semitism Rabbi Andrew Baker is on a 7-9 June visit to Moldova.

The official will meet Minister of Education, Culture and Research Monica Babuc, chairman of the parliamentary commission on human rights and interethnic relations Vladimir Turcan, State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice Eduard Serbenco, Director-General of the Interethnic Relations Bureau Oleg Babenco and Ambassador with special missions of the Foreign and European Integration Ministry Ion Stavila.

The official will hold meetings with representatives of civil society, including the Jewish community in Moldova.

The event will focus on issues related to the implementation of the action plan on education and commemoration of the Holocaust and the development of a school curriculum on the Holocaust study in a local context.
