MPs, parliament employees participate in blood donation campaign

Chisinau, 14 June /MOLDPRES/- MPs and secretaries of parliament today joined the blood donation campaign, on the World Blood Donor Day, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

“Many MPs participated in the blood donation campaign this morning. It is a beautiful and noble gesture to offer hope for life to those in need, as well as to show solidarity to the World Blood Donor Day,” Speaker Andrian Candu said at the beginning of the plenary session.

The chairman of the Social Protection, Health and Family Commission, Valentina Buliga, said that by blood donation we show we care about the lives of those we can save. "On behalf of the parliament of Moldova, I thank all those involved in this process," she said.

Annually on 14 June the World Blood Donor Day is celebrated. The motto of the current year is - "Help others be with us. Donate blood! Give life! ". For those willing to donate blood, the authorities arranged the collection tents in the Public Garden Square Stefan cel Mare. They are open from 09.00-15.00.
