Chisinau, 20 June /MOLDPRES/ - Citizens may notify the Economics and Infrastructure Ministry (MEI) on whether they have found out irregularities in roads’ repair works or after the making available roads for use. “If non-compliances are found out, enterprises will be obliged to carry out repair works at their own expense,” Economics and Infrastructure Minister Chiril Gaburici said while inspecting works for repair of roads in the Step-Soci village, central Orhei district.

„We do not want these road segments be repaired each year. Once repaired now, they should be good for an as longer period as possible,” the minister noted. Five roads adjacent to the main road are restored in the Step-Soci village. The road segments are repaired before the deadline set, Gaburici said. At the same time, he specified that the priority was the quality of roads and demanded that the companies involved carry out well the roads’ repair and construction works, no matter whether it is about the Good Roads programme or other programmes.

According to the information unveiled by the State Roads’ Administration, 65 local roads will be restored in Orhei within the Good Roads for Moldova programme. The overall sum of investments will be about 74 million lei. So far, 17 road segments have been already repaired and 13 are under repair.
