Moldovan deputy PM meets Ambassadors of Germany in Moldova, Romania

Chisinau, 20 June /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister, Cristina Lesnic, has met today with Ambassador of Germany to Moldova, Julia Monar, and with the Ambassador of Germany to Romania, Cord Meier-Klodt, the office for reintegration policy’s information and media communication service has reported.

During the meeting, the officials discussed recent developments of negotiation process and implicitly in the context of implementing priorities of so-called Berlin plus package, pointing out the undertaken steps to meet the agreed deadlines convened within Rome Protocol on 29 – 30 May 2018.

Another discussion topic was the vision of officials on solution of the issues regarding unhindered circulation of pupils and teachers of schools with teaching in Latin script in the Transnistrian region through the posts on administrative line, insurance with their own headquarters, suitable for carrying out educational process and formalisation of the long-term use of land associated with school buildings.

Also, Deputy Prime Minister, Cristina Lesnic, thanked the diplomats for their fruitful work, constant support of Germany in all areas of cooperation, including very active position in support of state territorial integrity.

Cristina Lesnic also expressed gratitude for prompt support in the Transnistrian settlement process, including in context of OSCE Chairmanship exercising in 2016.

Finally, Deputy PM Cristina Lesnic outlined that role of Germany in Moldova is a major one, expressing its confidence it to continue promoting a dialogue aimed at benefit of population on both sides of the Dniester river.
