Twelve theatres of Moldova, Romania to participate at Reunion of Romanian National Theatres

Chisinau, 30 July /MOLDPRES/ – Twelve theaters from Moldova and Romania will participate in the fourth issue of Reunion of the National Romanian Theatres, which will take place in Chisinau, 19 – 30 September, during the 97th season of the National Theatre Mihai Eminescu.   

Interviewed by agency, general director of Mihai Eminescu National Theatre, Petru Hadarca, mentioned that the fourth issue of Reunion of the National Romanian Theatres is dedicated to the Centenary of the Union and will be inaugurated with performance "D – ale Carnavalului" (About Carnival) by Ion Luca Caragiale directed by Visarion Alexa.

According to Petru Hadarca, the songs that will be presented are written by Romanian authors. Thus, on 20 and 21 September, after inauguration of issue, the " Regele moare" (The king dies) and "O scrisoare" (A letter) performed by the National Theatre "I. L. Caragiale" in Bucharest. The Craiova Theatre will play "Gaitele" (The jays) by Alexandru Kiritescu and "Cealalta tara" (The other country) by Herta Muller, the Nobel Prize winner. The Sibiu Theatre will present performances "Avioane de hartie" (Airplanes of paper) and "D – ale Carnavalului" (About Carnival) by Ion Luca Caragiale, and the one in Targu Mures – "Steaua fără nume" (The star without name) by Mihail Sebastian.

The fourth issue of Reunion of the National Theatres will end on 30 September with the same performance, "D – ale Carnavalului" (About Carnival), played by Radu Stanca National Theatre in Sibiu and staged by director Silviu Purcarete.

The first issue of Reunion of the National Romanian Theatres was held in 2014, and the project initiator was Petru Hadarca.
