Chisinau, 31 July /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister Pavel Filip has criticised today the leadership of "Calea Ferata din Moldova" (CFM) (The railroad of Moldova) for inefficient management of company, during a meeting convened at Government with field officials, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The Prime Minister was defied that CFM employees have not received their 3-month salaries, with debts up to MDL 100 million. "With such organisation, you will get nowhere. How are you going to get out of the crisis when you have 40 inefficient enterprises providing services? You have cars which are in garages without wheels, but for which you indicate diesel consumption," reproached Pavel Filip to the present ones.

The management of the enterprise is faulty and inefficient, considers Premier. "I see things are stuck. Some persons are interested for us being in chaos. We need to understand what is going on in the company, and not to mock people. Someone sees CFM as a personal business and does what he wants there," pointed out Head of Government.

The PM indicated that company should be transferred from management of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure (MEI) to the Public Property Agency (APP). "The Ministry has to deal with policies, while APP with administration. I do not want to waste time in inefficient discussions and explanations that do not lead to results," specified Filip.

PM Pavel Filip listed 3 priorities for upcoming period:

1. extinguishing debts on salaries;

2. optimising spending;

3. strategic reorganisation of company.

Last year, Government approved the Concept for Restructuring the Railroad Sector of I.S. "Calea Ferata din Moldova" (The railroad of Moldova) for 2018 – 2021. Later on, MEI and CFM would develop an implementation action plan.
