Moldovan parliament passed about 200 laws, decisions in spring session

Chisinau, 1 August /MOLDPRES/- Parliament passed around 200 laws and resolutions in the spring session. Among the most important documents are: the First House project, the project on meal vouchers and the construction of Arena Chişinău. Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu made the statement today.

The speaker noted that in the spring session, about 290 legislative initiatives were registered in the parliament, most of them coming from the government, PDM, PSRM, PCRM and presidency. "Among the most important social programs is the first home project, where more than 220 files have already been approved. Extremely important is meal vouchers project. Arena Chisinau project, primary health care reform, recalculation of pensions and increasing allowances for several categories of people", he said.

The official said that in the spring session, several actions have been taken on the implementation of the Association Agreement with the European Union. "The actions concern the financial-banking and the justice sector. In the economic field, several legislative acts have been adopted for the development of the business environment. There have been a number of regulatory reforms, tax incentives, income declarations, energy security, defense, civil society, integrity and the fight against corruption,” he said.

The parliament convened late last week at last meeting of the spring session. Under the legislation, the MPs will return to work in early September and the first plenary session will take place no later than mid-September.
