Moldovan importers to buy excise stamps directly at Centre of Information Technologies in Finances

Chisinau, 5 September /MOLDPRES/ - Economic agents importers will buy excise stamps directly at the public institution, Centre of Information Technologies in Finances, avoiding the Customs Service, under a cabinet decision passed today.

Thus, decision-makers will simplify and optimize the procedure of selling excise stamps by importers and the time needed to issue excise stamps will be shortened. Presently, the procurement is made through the Customs Service, which complicates the entire process of purchasing excise stamps by economic agents importers.

The excise stamps are issued against payment. The equivalent value of the excise stamps is collected in IBAN accounts of the Customs Service, which are subsequently transferred to accounts of the State Fiscal Service. Under the today’s decision, the payment will be made to the account of the public institution, Centre of Information Technologies in Finances, without the involvement of the Customs Service.
