Moldova, China reiterated interest in deepening bilateral strategic dialogue

Chisinau, 17 September /MOLDPRES/- Moldova is still advocating for a trust and friendship relationship, mutually beneficial to the People's Republic of China, which could offer new valences to the amplification of the bilateral political dialogue, both at the legislative and executive levels. Foreign and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi made the statement at a meeting with Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the MAEIE’s press service has reported.

Moldova and China are interested in boosting the bilateral strategic dialogue by developing a concrete action plan both at bilateral level and by giving new valences to the global trade system and the globalization process that needs to be refreshed in line with the priorities of the developing countries and global development goals. Song Tao said “regardless of the geographic size of a state or its potential for economic development, each actor of international law has a distinct voice on the international arena and the vote and position of Moldova in various international forums is important for China."

Ulianovschi expressed gratitude for the support provided by the political leadership of China in implementing assistance projects granted in the modernization of customs infrastructure and financial support to create an effective communication system for the responsible institutions responsible for road safety.

In the context of the development of the globalization process, the program initiated by President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, titled “Belt and Road”, needs to be fully used with the involvement of Chinese companies in national road infrastructure modernization projects, energy security, water quality improvement, efficient waste management and digital education in Moldova.

At the end, Ulianovschi invited Tao to pay a visit to Moldova. However, the official appreciated the high quality of Moldovan wines, which have increased their value on the Chinese market.

Ulianovschi pays a working visit to China on 17-21 September to meet high-ranking officials from the host country, and participate in the World Economic Forum due in Tianjin city.
