Chisinau, 12 October /MOLDPRES/ - Bailiffs will be obliged to raise the transport means declared sought in a term of three working days after the moment of communication of the arrest by interior affairs bodies. The lawmakers approved a draft law to this end in the first reading today.

Under the draft, touring cars are declared sought by the bailiff through the issuance of a conclusion, on the basis of which policemen can discover and detain offenders. At the same time, the bailiff will immediately send to the interior affairs body the conclusion on taking measures on ensuring the enforcement.

The draft’s authors said that, on the last period, decision-makers had found out that the transport means arrested at bailiffs’ demand were standing for a long period, without actions undertaken regarding them. Thus, during 2017, under judges’ conclusions, the Border Police arrested 1,360 transport means, the guard and integrity of which was provided by its staff.

The new regulations also see that the bailiff will have right to request and receive free of charge information for the enforcement procedure on behalf of authorities on paper and online, only if he/she does not have access to the information system which contains this data.
