Moldovan pupils to have nine-day holiday

Chisinau, 26 October /MOLDPRES/- Pupils of the 1st to 12th grades will have autumn holiday.

The head of the education department of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, Valentin Crudu, said that pupils in primary, secondary and high school will go on vacation simultaneously and for the same period.

“Over 330 thousand pupils will be on the autumn holiday. The vacation will take nine days and the children will return to school on 5 November. During the holidays, teachers will come to work, will have various seminars, sessions and teaching councils,” Crudu said.

The period of the pupils' holidays in the academic year 2018-2019 was set by order of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research.

The next holiday will be the winter one, which will take 18 days - from 22 December to 8 January. After that, a spring holiday will follow, which will be between 7 and 10 March; Easter - 27 April - 6 May and Summer - 1 June - 31 August.
