Chisinau, 9 November /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Cristina Lesnic had a meeting today with State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Lukáš Parízek and Slovak Ambassador to Moldova Dušan Dacho, in the context of taking over the presidency of the Slovak Republic in OSCE in 2019, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.

“We have a lot to do next year. But first of all, to preserve what has been achieved so far. Today, there are still many conflicts and crises that we cannot ignore, as well as opportunities that we cannot lose. It is needed to work hard to maintain the positive dynamics of the process. As demonstrated in 2017 and 2018, there is a firm determination of the government," the deputy premier said.

Lesnic expressed willingness to hold a new round of negotiations in the 5+2 format. Also, the head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, Claus Neukirch, has recently presented the Report to the OSCE Permanent Council on 1 November 2018. It has been highlighted that more attention is being paid to non-prosecuted military activities that tend to discredit the negotiation process on monitoring and reporting military activities in the Security Zone. Chisinau continues to advocate for the advancement in the field of human rights and free movement.

At the same time, the current stage of the Transnistrian settlement negotiations was reviewed, including: free movement, telecommunication cooperation, farmers' access to agricultural land, implementation of the mechanism for admission of vehicles from the Transnistrian region with neutral registration numbers to international road traffic etc.
