Three Moldovan movies presented in London

Chisinau, 13 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan short films, Ana, Evadare (Escape) and Chers Amis have been screened in London. After the presentation, those over 350 participants in the event had possibility to taste wines made in Moldova and admire works by Moldovan painter Constantin Botezat.     

According to the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry, the movies presented tackle problems faced by socially vulnerable segments from Moldova, as well as from other countries, including highly developed ones.

The event brought together British officials, representatives of the management of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and office workers of this bank, members of diplomatic corps, business people, representatives of the local media, as well as of the Moldovans’ community from the United Kingdom. The screening of the films was followed by discussions with film directors Natalia Saufert, Nicolae Negara and Valeriu Andriuta.  

The event was organized by EBRD, in cooperation with Moldova’s Embassy in the United Kingdom, in order to promote the country’s image.
