Days of Ion Creanga National Library for Children start in Moldova

Chisinau, 19 November /MOLDPRES/ - More cultural actions will take place within the Days of the Ion Creanga National Library for Children in Chisinau on 19-25 November.  

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the aforementioned library’s deputy head, Eugenia Bejan, said that the concerned events were aimed at promoting the services provided by the library, at attracting new beneficiaries through diverse activities. Also today, the Ion Creanga library hosted an event titled, Temptation of Word, Temptation of Colour. Within the event, a fine art exhibition by a pupil of the Alexandru Plamadeala Republican Fine Arts College, Calin Enache, was inaugurated and two tales signed by Andreea Pintilei and Mihaela Roibu, who were awarded prized at the international contest Travel to World of Tales, were presented in theatrical version.       

A book titled, „Oglinzile Cetății: Dialoguri de ieri și de azi (Iași – Chișinău)” (Mirrors of Fortress: Dialogues from Past and Nowadays (Iasi – Chisinau) by Nicolae Busuioc will be launched at the Ion Creanga library on 21 November at 14:00. More personalities with whom Busuioc discussed will attend the event.   

A gala of the best readers will be held on 25 November at 11:00, during which the laureates of a contest for the title Model-Reader, the eighth issue, will be awarded prizes. The event is organized in cooperation with the Children’s Fund of Moldova and the prizewinners will enjoy money prizes and sets of books.   

Activities within the permanent programmes and services provided by the library will take place throughout the week.
