Over 550,000 pensioners to get assistance before holidays

Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/- About 553,000 pensioners will receive 600 lei before the holidays. The promulgation decree and the law on granting single support to pension beneficiaries were published in the Official Journal of Moldova today.

According to the project, people with pensions of less than 2 thousand lei will receive financial aid from the state amounting to 600 lei in the second half of December. To this end, about 335 million lei will be allocated from the state budget.

About 553,000 people will benefit from assistance, of whom over 400,000 are old-age pension beneficiaries. The rest are beneficiaries of disability pensions, survivors' pensions, and about 600 people are term soldiers or members of their families.

This law entered into force on 1 December 2018.
