Rates for over 200 medical – sanitary services to be reduced in Moldova

Chisinau, 19 December /MOLDPRES/ – The rates for 221 sanitary services will be lowered. A decision that provides for the revision of the single tariff for healthcare services has been approved today.
The Government's decision aims to harmonise national legislation with EU law and, together with lower tariffs for 221 medical services, also includes the inclusion of 135 new service tariffs.
Also, after reviewing the catalogue of single medical services tariffs, 208 medical services that were previously paid will be excluded, and another 276 services will be renamed.
According to the Ministry of Healthcare's data, the tariff reduction was possible due to centralised purchase of medicines and consumables throughout the Centralised public procurement centre (CAPC).
The document authors claim that the new modifications will allow the patients from Moldova to benefit from better quality services at a reduced price also contributing to widening of spectrum of investigations that insured persons can benefit and increase the budgets of the medical institutions that hold advanced equipment.
