Chisinau, 03 January /MOLDPRES/ – The premiere of Sfatul Tarii (Council of State) by National Theatre Vasile Alecsandri University and the National Theatre Mihai Eminescu in Chisinau, directed by Cristian Hadji – Culea and Peter Hadarca held in Iasi these days.

Asked by agency, the director of Mihai Eminescu National Theatre, Petru Hadarca, mentioned that nine actors played in performance, five of them from Iasi and four from Chisinau. These are actors: Haruna Condurache, Radu Ghilas, Radu Homiceanu, Oana Sandu and Andrei Sava (Iasi) and Anatol Durbala, Ion Mocanu, Valentin Zorila and Mihai Zubcu (Chisinau) respectively. The scenario is made by Mariana Onceanu – Hadarca (Chisinau) and Cristian Hadji – Culea (Iasi). Music – Vali Boghean, choreography – Dumitru Tanmosan, video design – Andrei Cozlac.

According to him, this is the second coproduction made with a theatre in Romania, the first being that of 22 November in Chisinau, when National Theatre National Theatre Mihai Eminescu and Targu – Mures (Company Liviu Rebreanu) had first the show Miss Liberty - Ultimul Madrigal (Miss Liberty – The Last Madrigal) by Mircea M. Ionescu, directed by Elemer Kincses.

At her turn, Mariana Onceanu – Hadarca said that the centenary offered the opportunity to maintain the subjects of history for one year on agenda. "This show was collected and inspired by documents, exhibitions, debates on this occasion, but also attitudes and reactions to the history of our contemporaries, despite their manifestation range from admiration to skepticism. The text, which I was lucky and honoured to work with director Cristian Hadji – Culea, tries to capture both perspectives: the historical chronology, and the reception of events in 1918 with eye today," said Mariana Onceanu – Hadarca.

The show was performed with the support of the Romanian Ministry of Culture and National Identity, within the Centenary Programme. It was presented again in Iaşi on 22 January, and in Chisinau – during 27 – 30 March in the Tournament of Romanian Theatre in Bucharest, Iasi and Chisinau.
